Sanding of Stainless Steel Surfaces for Vaccine Production
Kündig recently delivered a sanding machine to a well-known manufacturer of medical technology. This company uses it to process its hygienic stainless steel surfaces, which are also found in the production of vaccines, for example against Covid-19. The compact sander has a contact sanding unit with a large, 60 Shore soft rubber roller, that cleans, deburrs, and fine-grinds the stainless steel in a concurrent process. In addition, the machine features many other technologies to meet the safety and precision requirements of metalworking. Equipment options such as larger working widths, more sanding units or application-specific technologies and accessories are also available.
